The World Crime League presents We Were Only Henchmen, a super dark comedy by Andrew Rosdail, at the 2024 Minnesota Fringe Festival!
After a tough week of serving as punching bags for the city’s defenders, two henchmen hang out after hours, talking shop and reminiscing over past nefarious employers. Their night is soon interrupted by the arrival of one of the city’s greatest heroes and the discovery of his dark secret. Directed by Andrew Rosdail (who directed the 2022 Golden Lanyard Winner Peace Retreat with New Endeavors) and Andrew Rakerd (who directed last year’s World Crime League production of Uncle Walt)!
This play contains harsh language, drugs, and violence. Not for kids!

Delia- Female henchman, aged 20s-30s
Bobby- Male henchman, aged 20s-30s
Captain Superior- Male superhero, aged 20s-40s
Lenny- Male panhandler, aged 30s-40s
Cast and crew will receive a $100 stipend with potential profit sharing.

Auditions will be held on May 22nd from 6-10PM

If you are unable to attend the auditions, we will accept auditions via online submission or other arrangements if need be. Just let us know
We ask that auditioners submit their headshots and resumes in advance to [email protected] , though you are welcome to bring them to the audition as well.
Auditions will consist of sides from the script, email if you would like access before the audition. Please bring a list of any conflicts you know of between June 1st and the run of Fringe.
Rehearsals are TBD, but will begin in June and be two times a week, with potential third ones added as we get closer to performances, depending on needs.
Tech rehearsal is TBD by Fringe (It will fall sometime between Sunday, July 28 and Wednesday, July 31)
