CoMotion

Please join us for an evening of modern dance, theater, and live music fused with figure skating. Brownbody (Deneane Richburg, Artistic Director) presents CoMotion. Set to a soundscape created in collaboration with and performed by actress and Twin Cities vocalist, Thomasina Petrus, Quiet As It's Kept captures the complexity and turbulence of the post-Civil War Reconstruction period. In addition, Brownbody is collaborating with legendary New York based dance company, Urban Bush Women to present two on-ice translations of UBW works, Give Your Hands To Struggle and Walking With 'Trane. This performance features a cast of professional skaters of color.
