Drama, Storytelling

In Seventeen Seventy Something A.D., the delegates to the Second Continental Congress gathered in Philadelphia to make impassioned speeches about independence and taxes. In Two Thousand Fifteen A.D., the members of the local improv group The Mess will gather at Bryant-Lake Bowl to show you the Continental Congress proceedings that didn’t make it into the history books.

The Mess is a nationally lauded improvisational comedy troupe that has performed a local, weekly show at HUGE Theater since 2013. Things that other people who write for public stuffs have said they are “a near seamless demonstration of long-form improv,” “a textbook example of the wit, dexterity and unpredictability that typifies quality improv,” and “a nonstop delight to watch, with rapid-fire free-association that always seems on the verge of spinning out of control, but never does.”

The Mess is very excited to put on wigs and tights and make their Bryant-Lake Bowl debut.
