Doug Funnie is an 18-year-old college freshman coming to grips with student loan debt, an upside-down work-school-life balance, and a myriad of other issues facing millennials today. Based on characters from popular Nickelodeon television series of the 90s such as "Rugrats," "Doug," "Hey Arnold," and others, Doug Sees God analyzes what it truly means to be a millennial. The fourth original play presented by Albino Squirrel through the Minnesota Fringe Festival, following Pocahontas (Or, How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Mouse) in 2015 (remounted with Freshwater Theatre), A Mariokart Named Desire in 2016 (chosen for an encore performance), and Wellstone: A Minnesotan Musical in 2017 (revamp pending for 2018).
