In this family-friendly show from critically acclaimed theatre company Animal Engine (Petunia and Chicken, Darlings), a lonely boy needs a friend — so he folds one out of a piece of paper! When his paper plane flies too far, it's up to him to journey across land, air, sea, and even outer space to find it — and grow up along the way. All performed in breathtaking detail by one actor on stage, Animal Engine Co-Artistic Director Karim Muasher, without a single word. Created in collaboration with visionary director Ryan Underbakke (Children's Theatre Company's 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, Live Action Set's Seven Shot Symphony, Taous Khazem's Sunrise at Midnight). With original music by whimsical composer John Hilsen. Inspired by Antoine de Saint-Exupery's world famous novel Le Petit Prince, Windsor McCay's groundbreaking comic strip Nemo in Slumberland, and any story of children going on fantastical adventures. The show is extremely visual and appropriate for audiences of all ages, though it is best suited for ages 8 and up.
