Good Night at The Southern features local artists sharing new ideas, works in progress and previews of upcoming performances.

May 13 will feature:
Leila Awadallah - A Palestinian-American dancer, choreographer, film maker and interdisciplinary performance artist will be presenting an early experiment in collective mapping of a dance that lives inside the imagined landscape of many borders - physical, idealogical, and metaphorical - that constantly shift / block / and sometimes break.

Madelyn Bakken - a recent Gustavus Dance grad, will be presenting her work that was selected for the American College Dance Association, 8:20. She also is showing a solo work on a dancer, Process, that is connected in meaning with 8:20, but is a separate work. This piece was Madelyn’s Dance Honors project, and has been in the making for about a year and a half.

Charles Campbell - is the artistic director of Skewed Visions and he will be extracting a short bit from a new installation-performance called "Birds of the Future" which is a post-time-travel/dystopia meditation on seeing our post-everything "now" as an opportunity for change.

Sally Rousse -- multi-faceted dance artist she will be presenting a preview of her current work, Reckoning Agents, that taps her long-held attraction to the fictional world of spies and working with great movers Eve Shulte and Dmitri Peskov.
