Set after World War I, “Miss Lulu Bett” is about a woman who “earns her keep” by taking care of her sister’s house and family. Circumstances following Lulu’s sudden marriage to the capricious brother of her sister’s husband, she finds herself at a crossroads which will ultimately change her life. “Miss Lulu Bett” is the first play by a woman to win the Pulitzer Prize for Drama.
