Planet of Echoes

Planet of Echoes: written and directed by Daniel P. Reiva and presented by the Electric Telescope Experimental Theatre. It is an innovative form of virtual theatre, presenting drama using the structure and techniques of music videos. 

The "video-theatre" work portrays the shared experience of the COVID-19 lockdown in Minnesota neighborhoods intertwined with imagistic echoes of the violent demonstrations over the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis.  It includes the dramatic reaction of people on the street witnessing Floyd's death, as taken from transcripts of the recently released Minneapolis police camera video.
