Presented as a living room tour - in a different living room every night, Seascape with Sharks and Dancer is an intimate dark romantic comedy.
While walking along the beach one night, lonely writer Ben spots a barely-clad young woman struggling in the ocean. Jumping into action, he pulls her to shore and brings her back to his dingy beach house to recover. Heroic -- but Tracy's not the least bit thankful. In fact, she declares that she wasn't drowning, but dancing, and how dare he interrupt her moment. She's eccentric, rude, kooky, smug and difficult. Despite all this, Ben is entranced.
Two damaged people come together and form an unlikely relationship in this dark, romantic comedy: he's the image of unconditional love, she's the poster child for survivors of toxic relationships. Together they are playing emotional war games and there's no guarantee of a peace treaty any time soon.
This production is 18+ and includes emotionally charged subject matter and conversations about: suicide, abortion, emotional abuse & co-dependency
