Drama Experimental New work Minnesota premiere

Teatro del Pueblo is delighted to announce the first presentation of 2017-2018 Season, "Soma Mnemosine". A Teatro La Candelaria production, "Soma Mnemosine" is a performance art piece collectively created and directed by Patricia Ariza that explores the dual manifestation of joy and pain in the human body which converges through the bodies of the actors during the party ambience and contextual violence rampant in Colombia today. With themes of recurring entry ways, inevitably arriving through different pathways: individual-personal-body and the social-body, both subjected to the violence but hopelessly seeking refuge inside the celebration as an act of defiance, this is a show you won’t want to miss. This presentation is brought to you in Spanish.

Performance dates are October 12th and 13th at 7:30pm. Performances are at Intermedia Arts, 2822 Lyndale Ave. S, Minneapolis, MN 55408. General admission is $15; Student/Senior admission is $12.
