The Wastelands is an original experimental folk opera inspired by Dante’s Purgatorio. Guided by a skeletal Virgil, the audience travels through the seven stages of grief in outdoor sites which have been or are at risk of being abused by industry. The Wastelands was developed from 2012-2016 at Double Edge Theatre in Ashfield, MA and toured from June-October, 2016 along the Great Lakes basin.
