Join Shakespearean Youth Theatre on Saturday, March 27th for a virtual premiere of Troilus & Cressida: An Audio Drama!

Set during the Trojan War, Troilus & Cressida tells the story of two young lovers alternately thrust together and ripped apart by the ravages of war. This classic and energetic play features such memorable characters from Greek mythology as Achilles, Aeneas, Agamemnon, and Ulysses, all engaged in a senseless battle over the notorious Helen of Troy: “the face that launched a thousand ships.”

"Troilus and Cressida is a shattering story of two young lovers growing up in the midst of the Trojan War. With a cast of characters lifted from the Iliad, Shakespeare's parody of Homer shows us a world of absent morals, where the roots of our civilization are planted amidst a senseless battle over Helen of Troy. As Troilus and Cressida experience a loss of innocence and Hector and Achilles seek meaning through bloodshed, we experience a play that is stunning in its power, exhilarating in its intellect, and ultimately invigorating as it rages against the dying of the light." - Lukas Brasherfons, director
