Writers Go To The Movies

Every month, a local writer will present a film that has informed or inspired their writing practice, followed by a conversation with another expert, artist, activist, or scholar. The audience is welcome to participate in the conversation or just sit back and enjoy. October’s film is “Tangerine,” presented by Andrea Jenkins, an internationally recognized writer, performer, poet, transgender activist, and first African American openly trans woman elected to office in a major US city.
