June 17-24. Four shows. Two venues.

A new play about Israeli humanitarian work. Run time is less than an hour. Suitable for all audiences.  A post-show discussion with guest speakers and the cast.

An original play based on true stories from an Israeli humanitarian organization that provides free life-saving heart surgery for children in need worldwide.

Seven-year-old Maria from Romania was born with a rare heart disease that has no cure in her home country. When brought to Wolfson Hospital in Israel for surgery, Maria makes friends with a little girl from Gaza, a college student volunteer from Illinois, and doctors who have already saved over 4,500 children from 55 different countries. While the doctors strive to mend the children’s hearts, the children set their hearts on fixing the entire world.

There will be four shows in June on two venues:

* Sabes JCC on Sunday, June 17 @ 3 p.m. 4330 S. Cedar Lake Road, Minneapolis, MN 55416

Set in an in-home beauty parlor owned and operated by the outspoken and wise-cracking Truvy, this modern classic explores the deep bond that forms between a group of outspoken Southern women as they share their triumphs and tragedies with each other.

Filled with sidesplitting reparte—and more than a few sharp but humorous verbal collisions, Steel Magnolias is hilarious and touching and, in the end, reveals a deep emotional truth underlying the witty banter of its eccentrtic characters.
