We are excited to announce a special 4-day event at St. Croix Off Broadway Dinner Theatre for Valentine's Day 2019 on Thursday the 14th , Friday the 15th, and both a matinee and evening show on Saturday the 16th. Coming all the way from Florida, Felix J. Deneau, Jr. will be bringing his Dean Martin Tribute Show, and you are not going to want to miss this impersonator! There will be a Meet & Greet after the show so you can get your picture taken with Dino!

"THAT'S PRETTY DAMN GOOD, KID!" Those were the words of Dean Martin in 1981 when our featured performer, Felix J. Deneau, Jr., joined him on stage at Las Vegas' MGM Grand for his impersonation of Dean. This is a spectacular and heartwarming tribute to America's "Cool Crooner", Mr. Dean Martin. The Tribute Show recreates Dean's vivaciousness, humor, and music.

Presented by Chain Reaction Theatre Project

The world premiere of “What Guys Really Want” features true, heartfelt stories of masculinity told from the male perspective and portrayed through a series of gripping vignettes.

The narrow definition of masculinity in our society creates a tremendous challenge for boys and men to be their true, authentic selves. Boys and men are inundated with negative messages from the media, movies, music, peers and family, as to how they should act and behave. Often these expectations contradict their true feelings.

This production raises awareness and creates a conversation about how masculinity is shaped and formed amongst boys and men — too often in an unhealthy way — and how we as a community can change that.

As with all productions, Chain Reaction Theatre Project is partnering with local social services organizations to spark discussion and inspire community action around the issues central to the play.

CREATED and DIRECTED by Shelley Smith with many contributing writers.

FEATURING: Naved Baysudee, Emily Carlson, Justin Cervantes, Elizabeth Efteland, Nolan Henningson, Mai See Lee, Eric Marinus, Jordan Mitchell and Evan Slack.

The Diary of Anne Frank is one of the most famous and haunting stories to emerge from the 20th Century. The memoirs of this young Jewish girl, forced to hide for nearly two years to escape Nazi persecution, are an essential part of how we remember one of the darkest periods of our human history. Anne’s dynamism, her luminous spirit, and her story of resilience continue to resonate deeply, making her story as vital today as when her diary was first published. Adapted from Anne Frank: The Diary of a Young Girl, edited by Otto Frank. Winner of the 1956 Pulitzer Prize, Tony Award, Critics Circle Award, and virtually every other coveted theatre prize.

One of the most acclaimed musicals of our time, this moving study of the enigmatic painter won a Pulitzer Prize and was nominated for an astounding ten Tony Awards, including Best Musical.

The days leading up to the completion of his most famous painting, A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte, Georges Seurat is struggling to make meaningful art and maintaining a relationship with his lover, Dot. Amid the scorn of the artistic community, Seurat’s artistic ability thrives while his love diminishes. Based on the novel by Jane Austen
Directed by Natalie Novacek

When reputation is everything, how do you follow your heart?

Called an “unconditional delight” and “a bouncy, jaunty take on Austen” by the New York Times, this playful new adaptation of Jane Austen’s beloved novel follows the fortunes and misfortunes of the Dashwood sisters—sensible Elinor and hypersensitive Marianne—after their father’s sudden death leaves them financially destitute and socially vulnerable.

Set in gossipy late 18th-century England, the play is full of humor, emotional depth, and bold theatricality. Sense and Sensibility examines our reactions to societal pressures—both reasonable and ridiculous.

The story begins with a motionless tableau, the actors frozen in mid-action, their faces conjuring an ancient frieze. At the snap of fingers, the spell is broken and the statues spring to life. And so, this classic story of civil disobedience unfolds. Director Meagan Kedrowski adapts Sophocles’ timeless tragedy with help from the Ensembles. Kedrowski’s “thoughtful approach juxtaposes the rituals of fate and sacrifice against the wounded family dynamic at the heart of this play. The results are powerful.” (Star Tribune)

FLOWERS FOR THE ROOM | a new musical

book by Jessica Lind Peterson
lyrics by Blake Thomas
music by Blake Thomas and Matt Riehle
directed by Jason Peterson
musical direction by Matt Riele

FEBRUARY 1st – MARCH 3rd, 2019

Allison and Jake have only just begun their new lives when a tragic accident changes everything. Trapped inside her own mind, Allison (Jessica Lind Peterson) hears the world around her, but the world cannot hear her. Julie (Norah Long), a recently divorced social worker and reluctant medium, attempts to convince Allison to hold on. Magic meets mundane as the unconscious mind collides with the reality of hospital life. As days turn to weeks, Jake (Zachary Stofer) loses hope of getting his wife back and both must decide whether to continue the fight, or to finally let each other go. With a story by award-winning playwright Jessica Lind Peterson (String, Miracle on Christmas Lake) and a gorgeous original score by contemporary folk sensation Blake Thomas, Flowers for the Room is a stunning new musical about human resilience and the power of choice.
