A STAGE MANAGER’S CALLING
Saturday, January 28, 2017 beginning at 2:00 pm

One of the most vital, and least understood roles in theatre is that of the stage manager, or SM. From audition through production meetings, rehearsals, tech and run of show, the SM’s skills are front and center; yet they seldom if ever get the kind of recognition given to actors, directors, or designers. What are the demands, and rewards, of stage managing? Is it a means to an end, or an end unto itself? What goes into becoming a good SM? Moderator (and sometimes SM) Sadie Ward leads a panel discussion with Muriel Bonertz, Kevin Todd and Linda Paulsen, experienced SMs who have worked in various capacities at TRP and many other theatres.
