About the Show
ATLAS ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ : An Objective Musical is a satirical parody of author Ayn Rand’s 1000 page novel of a similar name. The musical satirizes Rand’s ideology of “objectivism”, which defines selfishness as a virtue, altruism as evil, and unbridled capitalism as the only bulwark against the untold horrors of a socialist dystopia.
In the near future, The United States of America is facing economic collapse. Facing the ruthless burdens of progressive tax plans and regulations enacted by Supreme Comrade Wiley Loot, upstanding tycoons saw their profit margins dwindle. The pain too great, these beloved moguls began to disappear, leaving ruin in their absence. To save America, Tagny Daggert of Daggert Hypertubes must find them. Where did they go? How can we live without them? Who is JGALT?
