THE SITAYANA (Or How to Make an Exit)

Rehearsals will begin the first week of May, Tech the week of June 5th, and performances run for two weekends, June 9 through June 18.


AUDITIONS: Saturday, April 15, 12pm-3pm at the Fox Egg Gallery (3730 Chicago Avenue, Minneapolis). 10 minute time slots.

The SITAYANA is a powerful one-woman retelling of the Ramayana from Sita's perspective. With a contemporary voice, Jadhwani creates a nuanced, complex, moving story, focused on Sita's transformation from naive girl into wise, independent woman. The show is a one act, roughly 35 min long.

The role is for a South Asian woman between the age of 22 - 55. It is a highly physical show and the actress will play/voice multiple characters within the story. 

To Audition: Auditions will consist of a one minute monologue and/or a cold read from the script. Email to sign up for a 10min time slot along with your resume and headshot.
