Become a Project SUCCESS Facilitator!

Project SUCCESS is a youth-development organization that motivates and inspires students to dream about their futures, helps them create a plan to get there, and gives them the tools and support they need to achieve their goals. We work with over 13,000 6th—12th graders in the Minneapolis school district each year. 

Our facilitators work directly with 6th-12th grade students from diverse backgrounds inside the Minneapolis Public Schools facilitating workshops that help students dream big, ignite possibilities, and grow exponentially. Through our proven experience curriculum, students develop lifelong skills that will assist them in school and beyond.  

Essential Functions  

·       Create and implement lesson plans using our proven PS curriculum  

·       Assist all students from a variety of backgrounds to discover who they are, what they want, and how to make informed decisions for their future  

·       Develop and maintain supportive, collaborative, and genuine relationships with students and staff during in-class workshops, college tours, field trips, and other school events  

·       Collaborate and support other facilitators in creating/revising workshops  

·       Implement theater as an educational tool to gain self/social awareness, relationship building, & responsible decision making (SEL competencies)  

·       Participate in school and community functions as well as other PS programming across all schools  

Ideal Candidate Attributes  

·       Experience working with diverse youth in a leadership capacity  

·       Experience with students with a wide variety of socio-economic backgrounds  

·       Understands the importance of equity, inclusion, and cultural competency  

·       Strong communication, listening, and organizational skills  

·       Passionate belief in the potential of young people and genuine desire to help them succeed  

·       Ability to speak Spanish, Somali, or Hmong
