Chain Reaction Theatre Project Seeks Actors and a Stage Manager for "White Privilege"

Chain Reaction Theatre Project is seeking actors and a Stage Manager for our production of White Privilegewritten by Malaina Moore, directed by Justin Cervantes and produced by Artistic Director, Shelley Smith.

The play, White Privilege,  is a series of vignettes performed by/scripted for both white and black actors. It explores a wide range of different issues, such as micro-aggressions, cultural appropriation, the education system, police brutality and history. The show, which is performed in two acts with one intermission, engages and informs the audience with genuine passion and compassion. It helps the audience to understand that white privilege exists: this is not a commentary that is ‘anti-white,’ but rather a commentary on how people perceive each other.

Rehearsals, held at Transfiguration Lutheran Church, 11000 France Ave. S., Bloomington; will begin on 3/23, and will typically be held four weeknights per week, with three Saturdays TBD. Required tech rehearsals will run 5/24-5/30, with the exact schedule to be determined prior to auditions.

We are seeking 10 non-union actors, any age, all genders; and although the play is scripted for both white and Black actors, all ethnicities are welcome to audition. A stipend will be paid.
