Waconia Public Schools is offering an exciting opportunity to be a part of the set-up, grand opening, and continuing management of the new Performing Arts Center at the Waconia High School. The Performing Arts Facilities Corodinator will coordinate and supervise the operations and marketing of the high school and middle school auditoriums. They will serve as the technical supervisor providing technical support for auditorium users to maximize the use of the space and ensure the safety and proper maintenance of all equipment.
ISD 279 Osseo Area Schools is seeking a full time Community Education Facilities Scheduling and Volunteer Services Program Manager. The CE Program Manager is responsible to develop procedures, hire auditorium and facilities staff, and evaluate staff and programs. Knowledge of theater management, lighting, audio engineering, facility use management or relevant job experience preferred. The CE Program Manager will supervise and support the facilities use staff and assist in staff development for facilites use staff and district volunteers and volunteer coordinators.
The Duluth Playhouse is currently seeking applicants for a Scenic Charge Artist.
The Charge Artist would take lead on and work closely with the Technical Director, production designers and volunteers in the finishing of scenic elements, primarily through painting to achieve the designer’s artistic vision. The Charge Artist is tasked with determining the proper techniques and materials in which to complete the look of the design.
Job Description: Manage technical production elements (including set building, light and sound production) of 3 mainstage shows per year. Design set and/or lights for 1-2 shows per year. Provide advice and assistance to student projects and productions. Hold student workshops to teach technical theater skills. The ideal candidate will have formal training or significant experience in technical directing as well as experience working with students in a school setting and creating a learning environment in the after-school activity process.
