The Ordway Center for Performing Arts in collaboration with Teatro del Pueblo is auditioning Triple Threat Performers of diverse backgrounds for IN THE HEIGHTS on Monday, April 10th.
No kids or teens, please (18+).
Rehearsals start on or around August 18, 2017. (Full-time commitment)
Previews: September 12, 2017
Opening: September 15, 2017
Closing: September 24, 2017
Following the run at the Ordway, the production will be dark for a week and will then travel to Dayton, Ohio where it will run October 3rd-8th at the Victoria Theatre Association.

Be prepared to dance. Bring sturdy dance shoes-no tap or ballet. You might be asked to stay and sing. Please prepare a song in the style of contemporary Broadway pop. Tell a story and the song should show off range. Bring music. No longer than 2 minutes. Bring additional music- you may be asked to sing more.
The Ordway Center for Performing Arts and Teatro del Pueblo have designed a collaboration to deepen the impact of the arts through a series of activities that build equitable relationships, lift communities, and engage diverse artists in professional development and relationship building.
As a part of a two-year commitment to this work, we are pleased to announce a 6-session series of free classes in the fundamental disciplines of Music-Theatre Song Performance, Audition Techniques, Dance, and Musical Comedy scene study.
The 6 (SIX) sessions will be held at The Ordway Center on Mondays, beginning April 24th.
Admission will be on a "first-come, first-served" basis, with no more than 25 students per class. Please submit your RESUME when applying.
NOTE: There will be TWO separate classes of 25 students EACH Monday; 1) from 4 pm - 6 pm, and 2) from 6 pm - 8 pm.
Applicants should be at least 20 years of age, with prior stage experience, AND COMMIT TO ATTEND ALL 6 CLASSES (Emerging professionals of all ethnicities are encouraged to attend).
