The Orchard Theater Collective is looking to cast four performers for their spring production of SAINT JOAN, written by George Bernard Shaw and directed by Ben Robert Shaw.
1st Rehearsal--February 3rd
1st Performance--March 5th
About: Widely considered to be George Bernard Shaw’s greatest literary achievement, SAINT JOAN follows the life of French soldier, Joan d’Arc, from her first entrance into the public arena, through her involvement in the Hundred Years’ War, to being burned at the stake in 1431.
In his preface to this play, Shaw wrote, “There are no villains in the piece...It is what men do at their best, with good intentions, and what normal men and women find that they must and will do in spite of their intentions, that really concern us.” We’re looking to explore just that.
Audition Dates: November 25th and 26th with a possible callback on December 2nd.
