This world-premiere adaptation of Jane Austen’s final novel follows the love story of pragmatic Anne Elliot and passionate Captain Wentworth. Eight years after their broken engagement, Anne and Wentworth are thrown together again, their situations reversed – he is wealthy, and her family is struggling to pay their debts. Can such strong feelings survive eight years of separation? Or can a flirtatious beauty, a charming con man, and haunting memories of the past succeed in tearing the two lovers apart for good?

- 5-6 movement workshops to be scheduled March-April (dates TBD - cast attendance flexible if necessary)
- Full rehearsals begin May 1st, generally 5 nights a week

Auditions, callbacks, and rehearsals will be held at Calvary Lutheran Church, 7520 Golden Valley Road, Golden Valley, MN 55427
This production will incorporate devised movement into the text, creating a visually dynamic and unique approach to Austen’s novel. Actors with movement experience are highly encouraged to audition, though all actors should be able to move.
Please bring a headshot & resume to auditions, as well as the attached audition form (if possible). Actors will be asked to read from the script. Sides are available at the end of this posting, and at aethemtc.com. While RP (standard British) dialect is preferred for auditions, it is not required.

Aethem is looking to cast five men & five women – all roles are available. See the attached PDF document for a full character breakdown. With the exception of Anne and Wentworth, all roles will be doubled.
