2017 is the inaugural year of The Future Is Female Festival, a national festival with 22 outposts across the United States. As the only outpost in MPLS, Pretty Shrew Productions invites female-identified playwrights of all intersecting identities to create short plays on the subject “the future is female” and what that looks like and/or means to them.

Classics Lost ‘n’ Found Theater Company (formerly Corcoran Park Players) needs actors for its Spring production of “Miss Lulu Bett” by Zona Gale. Auditions will be held on Monday, March 6 and Tuesday, March 7 from 6:30 pm to 9 pm., at the Lake Nokomis Lutheran Church, 5011 S. 31st Avenue, Minneapolis, MN 55417. Rehearsals begin Tuesday, March14 and the production will play May 5-7 and May 13 and 14.
Looking to cast a mother role for a teen driving PSA. Role requires crying, and arguing with a young actor.
The video starts at the scene of a teen car accident where a mother is crying her eyes out as she sees police cars and a fire truck surrounding her son's wrecked car on the side of the road. It will then flash back to the teen first getting his license and transition through a bunch of quick scenes of him growing up, including one where his mom is arguing with him about using his phone while driving.
$100 stipend for a half day of work (5 hours)

Based on the popular play The Rainmaker, this simple, poignant musical features a lively score from the creators of The Fantasticks. The Great River Shakespeare Festival is holding Equity/Non-Equity general auditions for the 2017 season and beyond in conjunction with Park Square Theatre's general auditions. Auditionees may also opt to be considered for the 2017 Apprentice Actor Training Program.
