Workshop - Character through Embodiment

Want to learn how to make original theatre? In this one day intensive workshop, participants will learn fundamental techniques for devising unique and daring performances by taking inspiration from nature, architecture, visual art, and each other.

Led by School for New Theatre founder and lead teacher Karim Muasher, who has taught physical theatre and devising around the world at such institutions as the Guthrie Theater, Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, Upright Citizens Brigade, and Haymarket Theatre. His notable collaborations include working with immersive theatre company Punchdrunk (creators of "Sleep No More") on "Masque of the Red Death" at Battersea Arts Centre, daredevil clown Bello Nock on his Broadway show “Bellomania” at the New Victory Theatre, and physical comedian Martin Gindick on his award winning solo show “Wingman” at the United Solo Theatre Festival.
