The Second Annual Winter Bash

Editorial

Latest news. . .

We'll be giving away tickets to local theaters, and award for Unsung Heros of the local Theater scene.

Regular price tickets are $10, but we're really just trying to cover the costs of the band, dj, and tech. So, if you'd rather RSVP for $5, go ahead. Just do it now so we can count heads.

The simple excuse

Last year, we wanted to throw a party to celebrate the redesign of the website and all the wonderful people who made it possible. We had such a good time catching up with old friends and meeting new ones--and so did so many other people--that we decided to do it again.

The simple plan

Plan to pull out your winter best--whatever makes you feel hottest and most happy. Though we complain about it, winter may be the secret ingredient that makes this such a special theater community. So, let's celebrate it--and you--with a party at Bedlam Lowertown on Saturday, January 9.

Doors will open at 6:30 for the early birds, or for anyone who still wants to catch a show that night (though we picked this evening because it is one of the slowest performance nights of the year so you don't have an excuse!). We'll give away some cool stuff around 9:30 pm. We'll have a live band around 10 pm, and then a dj for the rest of the night. Who? We'll tell you soon. (Want to suggest a fun band full of theater people? Email us.)

All you need to do

RSVP RIGHT NOW and the cover for all this merriment is only $5. (After December 30, it's $10.) Pay at the door. Everyone is welcome--theater makers, audiences, dancers, filmmakers, anyone who feels a part of this community or wants to feel a part of this community.

We hope to see you there. In fact, it won't be any fun without you.

Bring your friends. Bring your dancing shoes (or boots or whatever).

"Let us love winter, for it is the spring of genius." --Pietro Aretino, Renaissance Playwright
