Even though the FTL commissioner made the controversial decision to leave the voting open an extra day, Alan Berks & Company still couldn't completely close the gap between its version of The Bald Soprano and A Johnny Midtown Stunt's Doctor Faustus. In the end, Faustus takes first place by only .1%. Jack! The Jack Rueler Musical pulls in a comfortable third place after The America Play squanders a strong start to ultimately sink like a rock. If the voting stayed open longer, who knows how far the Theater Theatre Co. team may have fallen?
It's still early enough in the season to get in on any season-wide competition that might erupt. Enter your ideas by clicking on the "Post Your Own Fantasy Team."
Will Alan Berks & Company return to the top of league this week? Will there be more naked men on stage? Why aren't people interested in a production of Godspell that actually stars the BIblical Jesus?
You may never know, if you don't play.

Cast and CrewGiovanni: John MiddletonAntonia: Sarah Agnew Margherita: Karen Weise-Thompson Luigi: Luverne Seifert Sergeant/Inspector/Old Man/Undertaker: Steve Epp |
ConceptSeems like the perfect play for the times: A comedy about the absurdity of the system that starts with an unintentional act of rebellion. Putting John Middleton in the central character and watching him get overwhelmed by the circumstances and the anarchy of the actors around him also feels ideal. |
