Front of House from Behind the Lens: Many theater professionals will tell you that the most important people at performances are YOU, the audience. Without you, the Fringe would be nothing more than groups of thespians performing for empty seats - an interesting concept for experimental theater maybe (Sarah, care to weigh in on this?) but for the Fringe, not so much. Since 2004, I’ve photographed over 200 Minnesota Fringe Festival shows. This year I turn my lens toward you, the people who make the Fringe a festival. But, don’t worry, unlike other paparazzi I will not photograph you without your permission; you won’t find me hiding among shrubbery with a telephoto lens (unless I’m in there feeding a squirrel).
