The Burial at Thebes by Seamus Heaney Irish poet and Nobel Prize-winning author Seamus Heaney wrote this outstanding new adaptation of the Greek tragedy Antigone. When Creon the King refuses to bury her traitorous brother, Antigone defies him and takes the law into her own hands. This brief, powerful staging features a striking version of a wise Chorus, and vivid, poetic writing.
