Grace Yang is an actor, dancer, singer, and costume designer based in the Twin Cities. Her love for the stage began in a dingy little dance studio when she was 6 years old, and she hasn't stopped performing since. She has also been designing wardrobe since she was old enough to staple two pieces of fleece together (rest assured, she has learned how to use a sewing machince since). She graduated in May 2019 from the University of Northwestern-St. Paul with a BA in Theatre Arts and Dance. During her time at UNW, she appeared many times on their stage. Some of her favorite roles include the Cheshire Cat/Jabberwocky in Alice in Wonderland (directed by Jennifer Hunter), Tommelise in Tommelise (written and directed by Elizabeth Albee), and the company of Magi Revisited (written and directed by Corey Mills). She also studied in the university costume shop under Diane Beal during her time as a student. Since graduation, Grace has been busy designing and dancing in the Twin Cities. Most recently, she performed in Seussical Jr. with Lakeshore Players as a Wickersham (directed by Maddy LaRoche), and she is currently costume designing Hannah Weinberg's Tuck Everlasting with Chaska Valley Family Theatre. When she is not working in the theatre, Grace is also a freelance writer for Overachiever Magazine-an online publication intended to raise the voices of Asian women in America.
