Quite awhile ago Stephanie auditioned her own work and was asked to provide backstage support for At The Foot Of the Mountain’s joint film and live tv/radio production of ‘The Crystal Quilt’. She continued providing back stage support for Fefu and Friends and other productions. Along the way the wonderfully kind sisters of Spiderwomen Theater asked her to stage manage their Minneapolis – Southern Theater, Atlanta and Soho, NYC productions. Other stage management gigs were also with the Minnesota Composer’s Forum at the Walker Art Center, What Ever Happened to Baby Jane and the Midwest Tour of the American Indian Aids Task Force Traveling Teen Theatre Troupe. After a hiatus of a few years and continuing to write, Stephanie returned to Minneapolis where she was fortunate to provide various backstage and technical support to Theatre in the Round, as a runner for the Mill City Museum Summer Opera’s production of ‘Carmen’ and recently as ASM for The BAND Group’s original adaptation of ‘Madwoman of Minneapolis’. Last year she wrote, produced, directed and designed the sound for ‘First Comes Love’ at the Minnesota Fringe Festival. Among her other playwright & video/short film credits are Lesson of Silence, Conversion Up North, Adrift, Betty’s Story, By Your Leave, Flag & Me, Dog and her most current work ‘The Penny’. Stephanie is grateful for the wonderful people she meets and works with throughout the theater and film communities.
