Drama

Anoka Middle School for the Arts presents George Orwell's chilling novel "1984" live on stage! The story follows Winston Smith, who is living under the totalitarian rule of The Party and has his own ideas. This is a crime punishable by death and there is no way of knowing if he is being watched. He has two options; one is to fight for a free society or two is to mindlessly fall in line. Both choices come with major consequences - dangerous consequences. Adapted for the stage by Robert Owens, Wilton E. Hall Jr and William A Mills Jr.

THIS PRODUCTION MAY BE TOO INTENSE FOR SMALL CHILDREN
