The cast of Full Circle’s 365 Days/Plays includes James A. Williams (first weekend only), Shana Eisenberg, Daniel Sakamoto-Wengel, Ashawnti Ford, Gaosong Heu, Matthew Thompson, Marcos Lopez, Ricardo Beaird, Siddeeqah Shabazz, Elizabeth Cates and Payton Woodson (last two weekends only). “Never have the arts been so important to our daily lives and understanding of who we are and how we have gotten here.  365 Days/Plays beautifully fulfills our mission to produce plays addressing diversity and social justice from a cross-cultural point of view, with the opportunity to engage a diverse cast and production team.” ~Co-artistic director, Rick Shiomi. 365 Days/Plays marks Full Circle’s first major production, and exemplifies its mission of investigating diversity through new viewpoints.  The production features 5 directors:  Rick Shiomi, Harry Waters Jr., Martha B. Johnson, Stephanie Lein Walseth, and Lara Trujillo.  James A. Williams will serve as artistic and cultural consultant. Full Circle Production Team:  Trevor Bowen, costume design (2016 Ivey Award for Emerging Artist); Karin Olson, lighting design; Daniel Keyser set design; and Quinci Bachman, sound design.  Patricia Brown will choreograph.  Music and soundscapes will be created by DJ and spoken word artist Michel Be. On the original 365 Days/365 Plays:  In 2002, Parks whimsically decided to write one play a day for an entire year, resulting in her brilliant collection, 365 Days/365 Plays.  In 2007 the premiere of 365 Days/365 Plays became a national phenomenon with over 700 theaters across America collectively presenting all 365 plays, “creating one of the largest grassroots collaborations in theater history”.  Parks designed this massive premiere to include as many theaters as possible, crossing ethnic, racial, and economic lines.   On Suzan-Lori Parks:  Parks is a Pulitzer and MacArthur “Genius” Award winning playwright and author.  Her works include:  365 Days/365 Plays, Topdog/Underdog, an adaptation of The Gershwin’s  Porgy and Bess for Broadway, and more recently,  Father Comes Home From The Wars (Parts 1, 2 & 3), as well as many other plays.
