Cellular Cinema 30 - Richard Wiebe: Sonic Cinema

For our 30th screening, we're excited to welcome local guest curator Richard Pelster-Wiebe, who will share a selection of both local and international works that foreground experimental sound design. Though often described as a visual medium, movies have always depended on sound. This program questions the assumption that cinema is or has ever been an art of images.

Cellular Cinema is an organically evolving, ongoing screening series of experimental film, video, and performance. We are the only regularly occurring event in Minneapolis or St. Paul that features short form, experimental contemporary moving image art.
