Mozart’s Don Giovanni will be set in the Prohibition era and performed in English in a beautiful and intimate setting. Don Giovanni (Donny G.) is the nefarious owner of the most popular speakeasy in town. This site-specific production (at The Woman’s Club of Minneapolis) will take audience members to Donny G’s speakeasy where they will get an up-close and riveting glimpse into the tormented life of this power-hungry, crazed Lothario. A master manipulator of both men and women, he offers alcohol to drink-crazed men, and himself to women desperate to have him. It's only a matter of time before his world collapses.
The limited-size audience will travel throughout the magnificent Woman’s Club of Minneapolis during the course of the opera, enjoying appetizers during the banquet scene and desserts after the show.
