Goddess is a contemporary spin on an ancient folk tale about Marimba, the deity of music.  Set in the East African port of Mombasa, at the steamy jazz club Moto Moto, it tells the story of Nadira, the club’s beautiful headliner and the fate of the men drawn to her siren song. With a score that draws from jazz, afrobeat and taarab, Goddess is a story about love, destiny, and the confluence of traditional beliefs with the modern world.
