Comedy

A family comedy without the family, so you'll have to do the drinking for them. Yes, we're closing out our 2019 season, and getting your Holiday Season off to a bang, with HOME ALONE A Drinking Game - Minnesota produced by Shadow Horse Theater, LLC & sponsored by Bent Brewstillery!

Come see some of the Twin Cities finest actors, comedians, and improvisers perform a live stage-reading of this 90's Christmas family comedy classic with props, costumes, music, fight and dance choreography, puppets, and, of course, DRINKING!

At fever pitch for the long-awaited Christmas vacation, the McCallister family inadvertently leave behind their youngest child, eight-year-old Kevin, while rushing off to catch their plane to Paris. With everyone gone, much to his delight, young Kevin finally has no one ordering him around or picking on him, with the house all to himself, and able to indulge in all the guilty pleasures he was denied. It's a kids dream come true! Unbeknownst to him however--The Wet Bandits--Harry & Marv, are all robbing his neighborhood's vacant houses. Can Kevin fend for himself? Will his frantic mother Kate get back from Paris to her young son in Chicago? Is Kevin, the little man of the house, prepared to defend his home from the Wet Bandits? Come find out!

HOME ALONE became the highest-grossing live-action comedy film of all time in the United States after its release, and held the record worldwide from 1990 to 2011. It was an instant Christmas classic for all ages and families, and has been now for going on 30 years! Macaulay Culkin was nominated for a Golden Globe for his performance, and the film received two Oscar nominations for the score by the legendary John Williams, and Best Original Song for "Somewhere In My Memory". It's ranked in the 25 Best Christmas Movies of All Time. You won't want to miss our take on this terrific holiday family comedy, Drinking Game Style! We know you'll be thirsty for more! Happy Holidays!

A. There are drinking cues for the actors onstage, and the audience to drink throughout the show. Usually key words or phrases, but sometimes actions too: like when a character starts singing or dies.

Q. Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

A. No ID needed to see the show, but it IS required to purchase alcohol at Phoenix

Q. What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

A. There is some street parking around Phoenix, but if you plan on drinking, consider using a ride-share or having a Designated Driver. Please take into account the lack of street parking when you're planning on coming to the show so you're not late. Thank you.

Q. What can I bring into the event?

A. Absolutely NO BYOB. Phoenix sells a wide variety of beer, wine, and ciders. We encourage you to buy from our sponsor BENT BREWSTILLERY and show your support for their sponsorship of the show. Please feel free to wear costumes or bring your own props appropriate to the movie, we love to see that, and to take photos and videos during the show to Tag and Share.

Q. How can I contact the organizer with any questions?

A. Contact us through here or on our Facebook page or Twitter. Do NOT call Phoenix Theater.
