MOVES!
The University of Minnesota’s University Dance Theatre will be performing MOVES! at the Barbara Barker Center for Dance. MOVES! features choreography by Dance’s Assistant Professor jess pretty and Dance students Vy Nguyen and Hina Sasaki. In addition, an excerpt from Elayna Waxse’s fall choreographic premiere, Swan Song, will be performed.
pretty says of her piece "looks at methods of relationing as a pathway to understanding the self. this work is archival and intimate, relying on the personal story as the grounds for research."
Swan Song explores Cowles Visiting Artists Elayna Waxse's life currents intertwined with the life stories of student dance artists.
