BURNS, A POST-ELECTRIC PLAYWhat will endure when the cataclysm arrives – when the grid fails, society crumbles, and we’re faced with the task of rebuilding? Can art remake a civilization? Mr. Burns propels us forward and imagines a future where Bart Simpson and the pop culture references of one era evolve into the mythology of another. Tucker Lucas (The Majority, Santaland Diaries), production director said, “Mr. Burns is a show about a community living in a post-apocalyptic world where there is no more electricity and so to entertain each other the community members stage old episodes of The Simpsons as plays.” Performance Dates: May 6 – 22. Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at 7:30 PM. Sunday matinees on May 15 and 22 at 2:00 PM. Content warning & disclaimer: This production contains minor special effects. Patrons are advised about the brief use of theatrical firearms along with sound effects. Theatrical firearms are handled with industry safety protocols by our weapons master.
