"Prescription: Murder"

COLUMBO

by William Link and Richard Levinson

In 1961, Claire Flemming is found strangled in her New York apartment. Her husband, Dr. Roy Flemming, has the perfect alibi. The detective on the case: Lt. Columbo. "Prescription: Murder" is a classic Columbo tale, pitting his intellect against the killer's in a game of cat-and-mouse with life or death consequences.

Just one more thing...

Six years before Peter Falk stepped into the role on television, Columbo existed on stage. This play was written by William Link and Richard Levinson, the duo who would later create the TV show. The production's original cast included Joseph Cotten and Agnes Moorehead, with Thomas Mitchell as Columbo.

Ghoulish Delights is thrilled to bring this script to the stage again—not with the intention of recreating a television show in a theater—but rather, to bring one of the most iconic detectives ever created to life. And it is our goal to do so in a way that is new and original, while staying completely faithful to the original characters and story.

Tim Uren directs. The cast includes Riley McNutt, Heidi Berg, Boo Segersin, Craig Johnson, Lana Rosario, with Sam Landman as Lt. Columbo.

Shows are Friday and Saturday, May 4th and 5th, and then Thursday through Sunday, May 10th through the 13th. Doors open at 6:30 PM and performances start at 7:00 PM. Note that ticket prices do not include fees for reserving. A group rate is available for parties of six or more.

“Prescription: Murder” is presented by special arrangement with SAMUEL FRENCH, INC.
