Summer Institute: Authentic

Featuring the second year students of Penumbra’s renowned Summer Institute program, Authentic is an evening of original monologues written and performed by teens who employ the power of their art to address issues that concern them. The show is followed by a post-performance discussion facilitated by the artists. 

Penumbra’s Summer Institute is a multi-year leadership development program training young artists to critically engage the world around them and to respectfully take action to realize the luminosity of their dreams. Students explore who they are and discover their own power to make change. Join us for two weekends of activist art as we celebrate brave new voices in theatre!
