The Karen L. Charles Threads Dance Project’s 12th Season will open with Tapestries 4.0 – a program dedicated to providing choreographic opportunities for local artists to see their work come to fruition in a produced show. Tapestries 4.0 features local choreographers Leila Awadallah, Julie Marie Muskat and Deja Stowers.
The featured guest choreographers will expose many aspects of humanity and will explore issues and connections in our inner and outer worlds. Karen L. Charles will revisit Abraham's Seed, an excerpt from Ashes to Ashes that examines the natural cycle of life from birth to death. Her evocative trio, Pariah, delves into the moments when one feels outcast - - never really fitting in anywhere.
