What started out as a small, one day workshop and panel has evolved into a weekend full of shows, panels, workshops, and celebration featuring performers of color from across the country - open to audiences of every color.

Shows will begin Thursday, March 26nd, at 7:00pm and take over all programing through the weekend with workshops during the day and shows at night, until the festival wraps up Sunday March 24th at 11pm. Each night will be a mixture of critically acclaimed visiting groups such as My Momma’s Biscuits, Stir Friday Night, two international ensembles, and Blackout.

The goal of Black And Funny Improv Festival is to create awareness within the Black community in the Twin Cities that improv is an art form that they can do and benefit from. The dream is to see the improv scene as a place where everyone is welcome, to share in a space that is respectful to everyone, and celebrate ourselves and our differences while building each other up and having fun.

Stay tuned to blackandfunny.com for schedule and tickets. Tickets will be $15 per show with options for multi-show passes.
