Teresa Mock’s biographical solo performance explores the ripple effects of her father’s Vietnam War trauma

Through humorous, gritty, and expansive family stories, Teresa Mock goes on a road trip through space and time with her father, Paul Mock, a working-class Vietnam Veteran.

She delves into her father’s tumultuous childhood growing up in 1950s Minnesota suburbia, his service in Vietnam, and how he has coped since the war by looking at the world through a scientific lens. Ultimately, Teresa sees how the war has permeated her own life through her relationship with her father.

As we are surviving the tragic uncertainty of a worldwide pandemic and welcoming the return of live theatre, we have been collectively dreaming of other realities and what might have been in other universes. The performance promises to be meaningful for veterans, anyone touched by war, and those examining the idea of transgenerational trauma.

A video of this production will also be available for streaming online Sept. 2 - 30.
