Presented by Chronofon
- Cabaret/variety
Remember 1966 in this rocking throwback concert of music and history. Chronofon Productions reflects on this turbulent time and the impact it has had on our cultural perceptions and social fabrics of the day, then and now.
Brought to you from “the studios of radio station WDAK,” our four “radio personalities” bring you news, commentary, advice for the modern woman, a call-in trivia show, and of course lots of music. Songs include “Summer in the City,” “Ain’t That Peculiar,” “Monday, Monday,” “Sounds of Silence,” “Feel Like I’m Fixin’ to Die Rag” and many more.
Pianist Dan Chouinard and singers Bradley Greenwald, Diana Grasselli, and Prudence Johnson (together known as Chronofon) bring to the Dakota stage something more than a concert, a hybrid art form at home in the theater as well as the nightclub, weaving together stories, songs and pictures with their trademark musical virtuosity.
Joined by Dean Magraw on Guitar and Gary Raynor on Bass.

Presented by Wayward Theatre Company
- Drama
Wayward Theatre Company is committed to bringing work outside of traditional theatre settings, allowing audiences to engage with texts and spaces in new and exciting ways. Next up on Wayward’s site-specific docket is Shakespeare’s brilliant tragedy; Macbeth, playing at the historic James J. Hill House.
As a follow-up to our extended, sold-out run of Hamlet in the spring of 2018, Macbeth will be the company’s most ambitious endeavor to date. Working side by side in partnership with the Minnesota Historical Society, Wayward will utilize this historic landmark in ways patrons of the arts and of the Hill House have yet to experience.
Macbeth, considered by many to be Shakespeare’s greatest tragedy, brings audiences deep into the minds of an ambitious couple, hellbent on power and position. A supernatural prophecy calls a would-be king and queen to action and as they work to realize their greatest dreams, their world turns suddenly into a living nightmare.

Church & State
by Jason Odell Williams
Directed by Scott Gilbert
November 8-24, 2019
With just days to go in a tight reelection race, Senator Charles Whitmore is rethinking some key positions - which sends campaign manager Alex Klein into damage control mode, and shakes the foundations of the senator's marriage. Praised as "a crackling script" that "leavens... debates with plenty of humor," Church & State is a timely, surprising, and heartfelt play.
"For the first time in a long time, I said exactly what I was thinking, no filter."
"You need to be smart about this, not emotional."
"Can't I be both?"
Moms Demand Action, an organization dedicated to gun violence prevention and safety advocacy, will make information available at all 11 performances, and will participate in a discussion following the November 15 performance.
Church & State is presented by special arrangement with Dramatists Play Service, Inc., New York.
Additional credits: Lighting by Camille A. Holthaus; Projections by Todd F. Edwards
