It’s a dark and stormy night, and you’ve been invited to a very unusual dinner party. Each of the guests has an alias, the butler offers a variety of weapons, and the host is, well . . . dead. So whodunnit? Join the iconic oddballs known as Scarlet, Plum, White, Green, Peacock, and Mustard as they race to find the murderer in Boddy Manor before the body count stacks up.

Though discouraged from revealing personal information, it is soon discovered that all of them have fallen victim to the same blackmailer, their very host of the evening. Each is presented with a weapon and an option: pay their extortionist double, or kill the innocent butler. What follows is a madcap, slapstick evening full of murder, mystery, and laughs as the dinner guests seek to puzzle out the culprit amongst criminals.

Based on the cult classic film and the popular board game, Clue is a madcap comedy that will keep you guessing until the final twist.

Comedian Jacqueline Novak’s GET ON YOUR KNEES is the most high-brow show about blow jobs you’ll ever see. Novak spins her material on the femininity of the penis and the stoicism of the vulva into an unexpectedly philosophical show that’s part feminist outcry, part coming-of-age tale of triumph. Ira Glass calls it a “nearly Talmudic dissection of a subject. Really funny and just really like nothing else.”

Jacqueline Novak is a comedian whose Off-Broadway, one-woman stand-up show, “Get on Your Knees” is a New York Times “Critic’s Pick.” Recognized by the Times on “Best Theater of 2019” and “Best Comedy of 2019” lists, the show has been extended five times in New York City and earned Jacqueline a Drama Desk nomination for Outstanding Solo Performance. Jacqueline is a regular on “Late Night with Seth Meyers” and “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.” She has appeared on “The Late Late Show with James Corden,” HBO’s “2 Dope Queens,” “Watch What Happens Live” with Andy Cohen, and in her own half-hour stand-up special on Comedy Central’s “The Half Hour.” Jacqueline’s memoir How to Weep in Public: Feeble Offerings on Depression from One Who Knows was published by Crown in 2016 and is now available as an audiobook. New episodes of POOG, a podcast Jacqueline co-hosts with Kate Berlant, come out every Tuesday. Jacqueline grew up in Chappaqua, New York and went to Georgetown University. Convicted and sent to death row, Roxie and another "Merry Murderess," Velma Kelly, vie for the spotlight and the headlines, ultimately joining forces in search of the "American Dream": fame, fortune, and acquittal. The citizens of River City have got trouble… That’s a capital T, that rhymes with P and stands for “Professor” Harold Hill. He’s a charming, fast-talkin’ traveling salesman who goes city to city starting youth marching bands. Hill promises to teach the kids and raises the money to purchase the instruments and uniforms. There’s just one person who can’t tell the difference between a trombone and a treble clef – Professor Hill.  Everyone is simply enamored by Professor Hill, everyone except for the suspicious town librarian, Marian Paroo.

On a campaign to rid River City of the impending demise of their youth, Professor Hill condemns a variety of activities – including Mayor Shinn’s new pool table in the town parlor. Shinn, incensed, begins an investigation into Professor Hill’s true credentials.  Marian sees right through Professor Hill’s marching band scheme. She’s ready to tell Professor Hill off until she sees her self-conscious little brother, Winthrop, shed his shyness when he picks up a shiny, new cornet. The trouble really begins when Marian’s heart beats a little faster for Professor Hill.

Get into a little trouble with Meredith Willson’s five-time Tony Award-winning musical featuring the unforgettable songs “Seventy-Six Trombones,” “Ya Got Trouble,” “Wells Fargo Wagon” and “Till There Was You.” Don’t miss this classic, all-American musical for every generation.

As if time doesn't already feel warped during the pandemic, we're gathering a group of artists and putting their sense of time to the ultimate test during Theater Mu's second annual TwentyPho Hour PlayFest. 30 Asian American artists from around the country have just one day to write, rehearse, and present six 10-minute plays created for the virtual environment. Watch our Mu-tini Hour on Friday, November 19 at 7:00pm CT, where the playwrights get their randomized prompts, actors, and directors. After a day of furious writing and intense rehearsals, all the plays go live on Saturday, November 20 at 7:00pm CDT.

Theater Mu strives to voice the stories of the Asian American community, and in order to bring performances to those communities whose stories we tell, we are committed to make them as accessible as possible. PAY AS YOU ARE pricing asks those who routinely pay $20 for virtual events to choose to pay that amount; it is the actual fair market value of the ticket. If an audience member needs to pay less, they can choose to do so—as little as $5 per ticket.

This event will be broadcast through Theater Mu’s private and secure streaming platform. A minimum of one ticket per household is required to watch the show.

It’s December 23rd, 1978.

Albee Humphrey used to be household name, but these days his star is fading. He’s got one last shot at his big comeback – with a network televised Christmas special. There’s celebrity guests, variety acts, and there’s even rumor of a reunion with his former comedy partner – who he hasn’t spoken to in 20 years. He’ll be using members of his studio audience as extras, so you may even find yourself getting in on the act!

This is his last chance to be a star again. He’ll either make it back on top…or die trying!

The Mystery Cafe dishes out a hilarious comedy caper, where you and your table are invited to solve the crime…all while enjoying a delicious 3-course meal.

Upon arrival, you’ll be seated by members of the cast. Clues are all around, and you’ll also be provided with “Mystery Money,” so you can bribe characters for more information.

The evidence points to one answer, and a prize is awarded to our “Super Sleuth” winner. We also give prizes for the most…shall we say…“creative” answer. Right or wrong, you’ll be laughing all the way to the solution. Whether or not you crack the case, you’ll certainly bust a gut!
