In addition, an excerpt from Elayna Waxse’s fall choreographic premiere, Swan Song, will be performed.

The year’s best movies, the world’s hottest celebrities, and everyone is clamoring to get their hands on tinsel-town’s most coveted award: The ORSON.

There will be dinner and dancing. You might even find yourself nominated for an award. But beware, this is the prize that all the beautiful people are DYING to get their hands on, and if looks can kill…no one is safe!

The Mystery Cafe dishes out a hilarious comedy caper, in which you and your table are invited to solve the crime...all while enjoying a delicious 3-course meal.

Upon arrival, you’ll be seated by members of the cast. The show consists of four acts, in between which you’ll be given a course...and a clue. You’ll also be provided with “Mystery Money,” so you can bribe characters for more information.

The clues point to one answer, and a prize is awarded to our “Super Sleuth” winner. We also give prizes for the most...shall we say...“creative” answer. Right or wrong, you’ll be laughing all the way to the solution. You may not crack the case, but you’ll certainly bust a gut!

The 2012 revised version of Godspell is a masterful retelling of the first major musical theatre offering from three-time Grammy and Academy Award winner, Stephen Schwartz (Wicked, Pippin, Children of Eden); and it took the world by storm.  Led by the international hit, “Day by Day,” Godspell features a parade of beloved songs, including “Prepare Ye the Way of the Lord,” “Learn Your Lessons Well,” “All for the Best,” “All Good Gifts,” “Turn Back, O Man” and “By My Side.”

A small group of people help Jesus Christ tell different parables by using a wide variety of games, storytelling techniques and a hefty dose of comic timing. An eclectic blend of songs, ranging in style from pop to vaudeville, is employed as the story of Jesus’ life dances across the stage. Dissolving hauntingly into the Last Supper and the Crucifixion, Jesus’ messages of community, connection, kindness, tolerance and love come vibrantly to life.

Performances will be 2/17/23-2/19/23 and 2/24/23-2/26/23 at King of Kings Lutheran Church.

Inspired by the radical inclusiveness of the Fluxus art movement of the second half of the 20th century, the Fluxus Performance in Rarig will be offered in the form of a shared meal. 

The Fluxus Performance lasts approximately one hour, during which audiences are invited to sit at a large table with others and share a meal offered to you by the student artists who have crafted the food and the experience. The meal is both literal (real food!) and figurative (feeding our minds with fun, games, songs, gifts, beauty, and small performance events threading throughout the meal)

There will be an audience option to sit apart from the table and observe the performance from a distance.  All non-food aspects of the performance will be available to you whether you are joining in the food sharing or not. 

*The food being served includes fruits, salad, cheeses, bread and vegetable soup. It is all prepared in a home kitchen by the student and faculty artists and has not been subject to official inspection. All food offered is vegetarian. All ingredients for all food options will be prominently listed. 

This performance is free of charge and registration required.

Fluxus by Lisa Channer emphasizes the creative process rather than performance in the arts. The students will write and curate the works and perform on February 24-26, 2023 in the Nolte Xperimental Theater.

A renegade magister’s quest threatens the Cabal’s very existence. Who should control this ultimate power? Enter the secret society and unlock the truth. 

Walking Shadow Theatre Company presents Cabal, a live theater experience with puzzles. An audience of 10 people explores an immersive environment, meeting characters and discovering large-scale, hands-on challenges.

Cabal lasts approximately 90 minutes. (It may be more or less, depending on how fast your group is at solving puzzles.)

Cabal is a theater performance, but does not have standard theater seats. As audience members move through the space, they may be asked to be stand or sit. Please be prepared to walk or move at least 600 feet during the course of the event. The venue and experience are wheelchair accessible.

Content advisory: flashing lights, sudden loud sounds, references to magic and the occult.

Recommended for ages 14+.

Covid policy: masks required. Proof of vaccination and booster required (or negative test taken within 72 hours). Cabal is an immersive experience in a small space. Actors and performers will be sharing the same area. Social distancing is not possible, but audience capacity is limited to 10 people. Actors are vaccinated and boosted, and will also be wearing masks.

A hipster rom-com spin on Faust. When a down-on-his-luck record shop owner is in danger of losing his family’s store, a mysterious stranger comes with an offer – and it’s not for vintage vinyl. With its refreshing and funny take on the brokenhearted, this eccentric romantic comedy sneaks in some serious metaphysical and philosophical quandaries amongst its toe-tapping tunes: the eclectic and modern score has been infused with the influences of Elvis Costello, Stephen Sondheim, The Beatles, and Brian Wilson. John D’Agata is a talented writer with a transcendent essay about the suicide of a teenage boy—an essay that could save the magazine from collapse.
