Audition for fall production of Sabra Falling by Ismail Khalidi!
Pangea World Theater is holding auditions for its original production Sabra Falling, written by Ismail Khalidi and directed by Artistic Director, Dipankar Mukherjee. Set in 1982, this relevant play explores life in the Sabra refugee camp in Lebanon, the dangerous theatre of life and war, and the role memory and love play in the quest to resist and survive.
We are inviting actors of Arab American and Arab immigrant descent to audition for this production. Previous performance experience appreciated, but not imperative. Pangea is seeking an intergenerational cast. All ages 18yrs. and up encouraged to audition. Prepared monologues and/or poems welcomed. Actors will be invited to read from selected portions of the play at the audition.
Rehearsals will be held in August 2017, with performances from September 14th - October 1st, 2017 at In the Heart of the Beast Puppet and Mask Theatre in Minneapolis. This will be a paid engagement.
All auditions will be held at Pangea World Theater, 711 West Lake St., #102, Minneapolis, MN 55408.
