Auditions for Young Artists Council’s “MR. BURNS: A Post-Electric Play” by Anne Washburn

Youth Performance Company’s Young Artists Council is gearing up for their first show of the 2018-19 season, Mr. Burns by Anne Washburn, directed by Casey Johnson and Eponine Diatta.

Audition - August 25th at 1pm or 3pm

Casting -  high school age actors. People of color are strongly encouraged to audition.

Mr. Burns follows a group of apocalypse survivors relishing in trying to remember an episode of The Simpsons in an America that no longer has electricity. As post-apocalyptic society develops, the power of nostalgia continues to take hold until the lines between pop-culture and mythology are blurred, leaving us with the question: how does pop culture impact us as a people?

The cast size is 3m/5f, but we encourage actors of all gender identities to audition.

Auditions take place at Youth Performance Company (3338 University Ave SE Minneapolis, MN 55414) Please come prepared with a contemporary monologue, resume and photo.
